This highly motivated and experienced account manager will prepare quality and accurate estimates and proposals for presentation to clients and prospects. This associate interacts with the design team, clients, maintenance and installation crews, and other sales staff regularly

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

This associate is an experienced landscape account manager, and will prepare quality and accurate estimates, and proposals for presentation to clients and prospects. This associate interacts with the design team, clients, maintenance and installation crews and other sales staff on a regular basis.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Produces quality landscape estimates with supporting materials such as pictures, sketches, references, etc.

· Follow Rapoza Landscape Company’s selling process and marketing system.

· Compiles lists of prospective residential and commercial customers as sales leads and determines the best contact approach.

· Calls on regular and prospective clients to solicit orders.

· Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

· Coordinates the scheduling of landscaping, installation, or maintenance service with the client and the crews.

· Reviews work orders to determine work priorities. Effectively schedules resources, materials, and equipment to ensure meeting client due dates.

· Plans, develops, documents and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, reduce costs, and finds the most effective way to use labor and equipment.

· Manages associate performance through timely performance appraisals and the effective use of corrective discipline measures.

· Directs the job site training of associates to improve work performance.

· Reviews production and quality reports and modifies procedures and processes as necessary.

· Interacts with clients by answering questions and resolving concerns.

· Communicates regularly with clients, supervisors, designers, and landscape/maintenance employees.

· Prepares reports on sales contacts, status on potential sales, and sales projections.

· Creates quality and unique landscape solutions on a timely basis.

· Utilizes creative skills to achieve functional landscape and hardscape design solutions with an emphasis on quality, ingenuity, and environmental responsibility.

· Provides accurate estimates on a consistent basis.

· Communicates with Sales Manager as required to update project status.

· Consistently evaluates work and determines if further steps are needed to meet internal and external client expectations.

· Maintains high standard of quality in all work performed.

Requirements:

· Possess a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and a driving record that

is insurable by our insurance carrier.

· A minimum of 3 years experience in the green industry.

· Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with Rapoza associates and clients on a consistent basis.

· The successful individual will have a working knowledge of horticultural and landscaping services, maintenance, and installation.

· Ability to work in a team environment, including taking direction and constructive feedback from team members, as well as providing feedback to other team members.

· Demonstrate a strong attention to detail.

· Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.

· Ability to learn and use, with success and accuracy, the company software and systems for estimating and tracking.

· Demonstrate a commitment to self development and continuing education.

· Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.

· Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Certifications:

  • Have or able to acquire an MCLP, MCH, CLP, RLA, LA, APLD or other acceptable professional designation within one year of employment.

Work Environment:

This job is typically performed in an office environment and may require the use of computers for both estimating, client contact and scheduling. There are likely to be considerable periods of time spent outside conducting landscape sales activities, consulting with clients, and inspecting landscaping projects.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, feel, handle, and/or reach. The ability to talk and hear is also required. This position requires considerable walking, standing, stooping, and bending while analyzing customer-landscaping requirements. Office work requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. Walking across uneven or rocky surfaces to make site inspections may be required. Specific vision requirements for this position include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
